A Simple Review
Introduction
As a parent with 2 kids in 2 different schools, I find it very useful to have MyPIBG app (2 different schools). With my current busy work schedule and limited time, I am able to “participate with the schools PTA easily anytime, anywhere. I’ve had the opportunity to explore its various features designed to facilitate better communication with the PTA. In this review, I will provide an overview of the app’s functionalities from a parent’s perspective, highlighting the key features available upon using MyPIBG.
Parent Profile
Upon logging in as a parent, the first feature I encountered was the “Parent Profile.” This section allows me to personalize my profile by adding essential details such as my user ID, contact number, and even an image or photo. This information helps establish my identity within the app’s community, making it easier for other parents and committee members to connect with me.
Main Board
Upon tapping this icon, I can know what the general events and happening for my children’s schools. It can be a general announcement for health, safety and other social activities involving the schools, These are usually official bulletins notified by The Committee.
The Students Development Centre
The Students Development Centre (SDC) is an invaluable asset for our children’s growth, providing personalized guidance in personal development, career choices, and emotional well-being. With experienced counsellors offering tailored sessions, SDC ensures a holistic approach to nurture each student’s potential.
As a parent, I appreciate SDC’s integration with the school’s programs, reinforcing academic and personal development goals. It’s not just a counselling centre; it’s a hub empowering our children to confidently navigate challenges, fostering resilience and self-assurance. SDC stands as a cornerstone in our children’s educational journey, promoting well-rounded development.
Community Board
This is a valuable feature that enables parents to create community broadcasts. These broadcasts (submitted by Parents) need to be viewed by The Committee first and they will post for you in the Community Board once approved. It can be seen by fellow parents on the MyPIBG app anytime, anywhere.
We can offer our personal services like free coaching for sports, games. motivational talks or even counselling guidance for students. With good community interactions, it will help to build a better environment for the students and Parents can plan ahead for their children to participate the after school activities.
Issue and Case Submission
For Parents who have some issues regarding their children’s welfare in school, they can submit their concerns to The Committee. It can be anything like being bullied by other students or victimized by teachers or even security issues. Parents can raise these issues to The Committee to look into these issues. All issues raised by Parents cannot be seen by other parents except The Committee members.
The best part is Parents can submit these concerns immediately anytime, anywhere without any delay. If the issues are serious and urgent, I am sure The Committee or School Administrator will contact the Parents immediately because they have the Parents contact info in the app.
Suggestion Box
The “Suggestion Box” is a valuable space where I can provide feedback and recommendations to the committee members on how they can improve the educational system and extracurricular activities or anything of relevant. It’s an excellent platform to collaborate with others and contribute to the enhancement of our children’s school experience. It can be even a suggestion for Donation Drive, Clean up or Safety & Health suggestions.
Ads Board
In the “Ads Board” section, I have the opportunity to offer transportation service to 2 schools which is along the way for my 2 children. It helps to subsidize my petrol expenses. I am thinking of selling my children’s old text books and used laptop.
My 2 kids want to selling everything that they are not using now. Who knows, an entrepreneur in the making. My husband is having a bicycle shop and my eldest son (in Form 3) want to “sell” for his father and earn some commissions. Of course all advert submission must be approved by The Committee first before they post it.
Conclusion
MyPIBG’s app for PTAs offers a user-friendly and comprehensive platform for improving communication and collaboration within the parent-teacher community at a very affordable price. The various features, including the Parent Profile, Community Board, Issue and Case Submission, Suggestion Box, and Ads Board, provide parents with the tools they need to stay engaged, address any concerns, and contribute to the betterment of their children’s educational experience Anytime, Anywhere.
As a parent, I have found MyPIBG to be a valuable resource that empowers me to be an active participant in my child’s education and development. It serves as a bridge that connects parents, committee members, and school administration, fostering a more cohesive and supportive community dedicated to our children’s success.
